Updates/Happenings: July 2005 Archives

we got robbed. yes. @#$%^& robbed. :(

Kristin forgot her I.d. back at the house. So we're walking down her street in hollywood. Yes, like 2 complexes away from her place when 3 black guys with 2 guns run up from behind us and point them at our faces. I had to surrender my goddamn wallet with $50 and my I.d. and everything. We can't get in the club cause I have no money, card or id..... THEY TOOK MY FUCKING CAMERA, man. This fucking sucks. I managed to pull a fast one on them and slipped my phone into another pocket so it didn't get jacked. We already called the cops and report filed and all that shit. We have to cancel the gas cards. They took kristins keys, which were in my pocket. Thank god I didn't have my car keys on me or that would be gone too.

Motherfucking son of a bitch!

I have to get up early for work tomorrow. Game over.

work all day, astral projection and infected mushroom tonight.

Worked all damn day and only got half of what were scheduled to do because of the movers. We moved 133 people from culver city into a cool building in westwood. Top three floors 22-24!! So I have to go back to work tomorrow, sunday. That's ok cause anything over 12 hours is doubletime baby!

At kristins right now, about to walk to avalon to get our GOA on! Woot. Gtg walking....

in class right now...

I need some BEER! I give this class :( :( :( three out of a possible three :(

Mandy, see you after the school.

Finally! The future is here. :)

Japanese develop female android!

Japanese scientists have unveiled the most human-looking robot yet devised - a "female" android called Repliee Q1.

She has flexible silicone for skin rather than hard plastic, and a number of sensors and motors to allow her to turn and react in a human-like manner.

She can flutter her eyelids and move her hands like a human. She even appears to breathe.

Professor Hiroshi Ishiguru of Osaka University says one day robots could fool us into believing they are human.

Repliee Q1 is not like any robot you will have seen before, at least outside of science-fiction movies.

She is designed to look human and although she can only sit at present, she has 31 actuators in her upper body, powered by a nearby air compressor, programmed to allow her to move like a human.

Pretty cool, next, we need Terminators.

tgif. plans for the weekend includes...

At kristins drinking saki bombs. The saki! Jesse bought it @ food for less. Now we are walking down hollywood blvd. Just passed kc and the sunshine band star on the walk of fame. Hmm saki is fun. Hey guys wait for me.

Not much time to write an entry... Fusion @ Garden of Eden, Party @ Kristin's, Planet Electronica @ Hollywood Bowl.

Pictars! - worth a thousand words.

Sat nite: Fusion @ Garden of Eden Hollywood.
We all got trashed! Drunken hilarity ensued..

Sunday, went to the beach then:

Planet Electronica - Royksopp, Basement Jaxx @ Hollywood Bowl.

re-enforcement that I really need sirius.

So were sitting around waiting for dinner and yesterday kristin found out they have a @#$%^& Breaks station. Sirius 61 boombox. This is siriusly great!!! H4r h4r.

edit: fixed entry.

On another level..
So this is some shit. I got fraud on my bofa credit card. Must be from that big Visa thing that went down.

Last time I used the card was june 26th for edc. I got the hotel, so ffwd to july 1st or so. I get this charge from "magshop" for $242 and change. I call and bofa cuts my account, changes the number effective immediatly and sends me a new card. :(

Ok, our cheezy chicken is done. Bye bye.

What happens when an English phrase is translated (by computer) back and forth between 5 different languages? The authors of the Systran translation software probably never intended this application of their program...............

Classic Examples:
I'm a little tea pot, short and stout.
translates to:
They are a small POTENTIOMETER, short circuits and a beer of malzes of the tea.

a cookie is just a cookie, but fig newtons are fruit and cake.
translates to:
biskuit has expert of biskuit, but Newton von Fig is fruit and hardens.

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore.
translates to
If the moon fixes its eye like a great vector of Fleischpie of the vector of Pizzapie, is the lover.

Lost In Translation:

After a speedy drive home....

Here are Pics from Palm Springs July 4th weekend.

In chronological order, Windmills!, House, Pool, Drinks, Music, Frisbee.. etc.

FRIENDS! Thanks for a great weekend, hope we can have many a goodtimes to come.
Have a safe 4th of July. Celebrate the Independance of your country by blowing up a small part of it. ;)

Drinking Cosmo's and Vodka RockstAr in the pool.

<--- drinking rockstar and vodka

It's close to 10pm on Sat night.. David, Pete, Jenn, Diane and I were floating in the pool drinking wonderful drinks. "dont' drop the glass in the pool," says Diane. LOL we didn't perform any party fouls. It was the most relaxing evening I have ever had in a long time. Dav cranked the Maggies up to 11 with some Lemongrass and we chillaxed in the water. Even the neighbors appreciated the atmosphere, hi five for the tunes! Chill downtempo ambient drum and bass. :)

Right now it's like 12:50 and we just finished watching Eurotrip. I love this movie, European chicks are so hot. :( when is one going to fall into my lap.

OMG HI2U laydee's i'm single.

Welcome to the beautiful city of Palm Springs....

Home of the Palms, Golf courses and the old people.

The weather out here is really fantastic "damn it's hot." The sun is beating down, the pool is a welcome addition to the heat, and the scenery is great. The house is right on the golf course and we ended up with a golf ball through the window. A new record, that window hasn't been broken by a golf ball in thirty five years. Although there were two in the pppool and nine on the roof. ;)

Pictures are yet to come, we are currently sharing a dial-up account through apple-airport-adhoc networking. Apple makes it so easy. Two of Dianes friends already left and I think we are going to stay another night. I was going to leave tonight but why waste a night of driving compared to a night of drinking. Everyone is obsessed with the stupid Katamari game, (Japanese for ball) for ps2, where you just roll over everything in order to make stars to recomplete the solar system that your father accidently deleted. rm-rf universe. oh shit!!11

I got some really cool shots of dav floating dead in the pool and diving, I tried to work on my tan but gave up because, "damn it's the hotness." My car is slow in the heat and we just went down to Vons to restock up on Ice cream cups and a few things for dinner tonight,

I hope everyone is having a nice vacation, Allan and friends went to a yacht party today, I think, hope it was fun. Pics++

Hmm anything else to say, dunno. Last night the drama llama came into town but we watched the Palm Springs episode of The O.C. and some of firefly, they want to turn me into an obsessed firefly fanboi. :) I told them to give me a week and I will get Battlestar Galactic first season on DVD. We watched Broken Lizards: Club Dread., Dav thought it was the best Lizard flick out of the two but I think it had nowhere near the number of redeeming moments in it as Super Troopers.

DInner is preparing and we're ready to fire up the BBQ grill.

edit: Danny brought the Maggie MMG's and Dav brought the amp. ;)

Lets elaborate on weekend plans.

Friday: Palm Springs @ Dianes

Weekend Forecast for the area is OMFG THE HOTNESS!
