Nothing to see here folks, keep it moving..

This Saturday i'm heading out to the middle of San Bernadino for the Electric Daisy Carnival Pics, of course.

Kristin is living a dream. Roadtripping across the U.S.A. and blogging with her sidekick.

AFI Released their Top 100 Movie quotes.

4. "Toto, I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore," "The Wizard of Oz," 1939.

beer, music movies, and more beer music movies.

Friday I went to see my buddy Sean perform a little set at Borders in Valencia on friday night. Jenn, Diane Dav and even Dav's parental units showed up for the occasion. Sean did good, he got brownie points with the crowd for free cd's. After the set we went over to BJ's and had appitizers and brew.

Sat I washed my car, and got fathers day gifts. Later in the evening I saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Dav and Jenn, it was a pretty good flick. Angelina is so hot and every movie since tomb raider makes her a better action star.

Sun was boring, I put on alot of Deathcab for Cutie and keep going back to sleep. I woke up around 4pm and was not tired evar. So much that I called Kara, we hung out at BJ's and watch the NBA Finals. I'm not a basketball person but that game kicked ass. Then we went back to my house and watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I dropped her off and got back to my house @ 2am. I tried to go back to sleep but I was not tired. I'll prolly pass out tonight but rightnow I think i'm running on 4 hours of sleep but it feels like 10. :-D

It's time for Chris' Music news once more! I discovered a few new albums. Everything old is new agian!

How did I totally miss E.L.O.
Electric Light Orchestra has to be one of the best rock/new sound groups to come out of their time. I have been listening to the Eternal Sunshine soundtrack today and I had an epiphany with ELO and the Polyphonic Spree.

Here is a small review of E.L.O. by someone who is a better writer then I.

ELO by Allmusic.com

The Electric Light Orchestra's ambitious yet irresistible fusion of Beatlesque pop, classical arrangements, and futuristic iconography rocketed the group to massive commercial success throughout the 1970s. ELO was formed in Birmingham, England in the autumn of 1970 from the ashes of the eccentric art-pop combo the Move, reuniting frontman Roy Wood with guitarist/composer Jeff Lynne, bassist Rick Price, and drummer Bev Bevan. Announcing their intentions to "pick up where 'I Am the Walrus' left off," the quartet sought to embellish their engagingly melodic rock with classical flourishes, tapping French horn player Bill Hunt and violinist Steve Woolam to record their self-titled debut LP (issued as No Answer in the U.S.). In the months between the sessions for the album and its eventual release, the Move embarked on their farewell tour, with Woolam exiting the ELO lineup prior to the enlistment of violinist Wilf Gibson, bassist Richard Tandy, and cellists Andy Craig and Hugh McDowell; despite the lengthy delay, Electric Light Orchestra sold strongly, buoyed by the success of the U.K. Top Ten hit "10538 Overture."

I have also been listening to Death Cab for Cutie's: "Transatlanticism" and "The Photo Album" which are fine pieces of work. Every song is great! I could keep them on loop all day.

i roll the window down And then begin to breathe in The darkest country road And the strong scent of evergreen From the passenger seat as you are driving me home.

Then looking upwards
I strain my eyes and try
To tell the difference between shooting stars and satellites
From the passenger seat as you are driving me home.

Batman Begin's is quite simply, badass!

Caught a 9:50 showing of Batman Begins last night with David and it was totally freekin sweet, if you are a batman fan or like any comics see this now! I'm not going to spoil anything but Christian Bale is a complete bad mofo.

The O.C. returns to me, kicking it with Kristin and Claim Jumpers!

My blog has been pretty boring lately, I havn't had any crazy stories or events happen to me. Over the past few weeks work has been jammed. A few days I spent at the helpdesk answering phones and crap. General classes for school are ALMOST OVER! Finishing up Religion class; which is last on the list.. Next class is "Project planning and implementation."

Thursday I went hanging out with Kristin. We went to Mel's and got orangy goodness and then I went on a little music shopping spree at Amoeba Music. I picked up.
Perfecto presents: South America; Hernan Catteneo (trance-house) - used
US3: Questions (which was the wrong cd I was looking for, oh well) - used
Empire Records soundtrack - used
Bad boy bill: bangin the box vol.2 (house) - new
Snow Patrol: Final Straw - new

So, for my installment of music news;
I really dig the Hernan, he is a greaat South American deejay, and the Bad boy bill is a super house classic album.. Chicago house mixed on multiple turntables.
Also recent albums I have been listening to are:
Athlete - Tourist
Mae - The Everglow
Coldplay - X&Y
Foo Fighters - In your honor

All of these are fantastic in their own way the Athlete is my favorite new band and the Foo brings a great new double album filled with rock tunes and accoustic work on the second cd. Coldplay is different, it takes a bit to get used to but I just watched the live leak on MTV2 where they performed songs live from the album and I loved it.
You should also check out Mae, even if it just for the first two songs. (2 and 3) "We're so far away" and "Someone else's arms." track (7) "The Ocean" is great too. It brings you into this mesh world of Fenix TX meets Something Corporate. I approve! This got stumbled upon it on the ipod one day.

Friday I was kicking it at teh helpdesk answering phones and talking on the sidekick. My friend Jason suggesterd we meetup, so after woek I drove down to Newport beach and took in some of that winderful O.C. atmosphere. Went out for pizza and then we kicked it af Yardhouse where they have my favorite beer on tap, Oregon Honey Lager.. mmm A few pints of that and then over to Skosh, the EYER-RISH pub!
I drove home fine and listened to my new Hernan cd1

Sat was a day of sitting around and then I picked up Kristin and we watched THE SHEILD OMFG! Season Finale next week is gonna pwn someone on the show. bang bang! Then I went to dinner and drinks with David, Jenn and Sean (sp?) He is performing songs Friday at the Borders in Valencia!

Sun I finished laundry, went to dinner with Jerome at REDS BBQ! Then I went over to his new pad and setup his wireless and wired intraweb for the new cable modem.

All and all, I saw alot of Friends and I wish the weekend was five days long.

I'm out, time to listen to some more tunes or watch TiVO!
It's hot in herrrrre11!

also, that Gorillaz track is pretty funky too: Feel Good Inc. You can watch the video on the itunes music store through 4.8. :)
