Friday/Sat was pretty pimp. Friday morning my dad and I hooked up the Jeep to the Durango and went out to Jawbone cyn in Mojave.

We gpt there around 9 and setup a little camp, we putted around in the Jeep and then went for lunch at the Jawbone Cyn. store.
The whole weekend they had a band playing from noon on. They were really good, my dad and I put down some beers and jammed out to the band. They played a bunch of different songs, I had a tritip sandwich for lunch, mmm.

Nightfall we setup our fire, I went back to the store to get dinner and walked out with lunchmeet, cheese and wood. They were all out of bread. LOL

The fire was going good, and then later some quad guys decided to climb the hill, we fucked around with them and climped the same hill @ 11pm. They were like :o that thing can giddy up.. damn straight :) . I ran it up the hill like 4times too. The lockers and axles do a jeep good! I took lots of pictures and they are posted.

A good bonding weekend. Now I am chilling at hookah source on the wifi uploading to the gallery.

Update: I got my ears.

WOW, just WOW!

So, my mom and I picked up the units today. It takes some time to get used to the sound of your voice agian. Most of the "vent" for the mold is closed shut to it sounds a bit like you are reverberating, once your brain gets accustomed to it, after a week or my audiologist said: 2 million words. I have already got the hang of it.

A few notes: Holy crap! The highs!!! I never knew my laptop harddrive makes noise, or there was actually birds outside my window.

So, according to my hearing test, average in both ears is about 50db.

Here is the spec sheet in PDF for my units, I got the Behind the ear model because I could use my current molds.

Spec Sheet>

I had the units programmed with 3 listening programs.

1. general listening program: good highs, not too harsh in noisy places.
2. Reduced listening program: cuts the amplification down at least 1/4 way, maybe half. for noisy places.
3. a music enhanced program: WOW, this is fantastic. it boosts treble, high and low frequencies listing to voice and piano with this mode on is just fantastically fantastic. If I put this on in a noisy room like the general program my ears hurt because of all the treble. perfect, now I can really get into hifi audio, I can already tell my car speakers are crappy a muddy on this mode.

All and all. WOW, great stuff. <3 <3

I am getting the ultimate mod: My hearing.

YES! This is gonna kick ass.
I have at least a %30 hearing loss, hereditary nerve damage. When I was in 6th grade I got a pair of analog Bosch hearing aids and i've had them ever since. (11 years) damn they are getting pretty old.

With new advancements in technology and a sale on current models, now is the best time to get a new pair of ears.

My mom and I are going digital! We've placed the order for these units.

The Infiniti Pro

I'm pretty stoked! I'm sure they will sound much much better. There are even better models with directional mics and specilized music programs. I think those run pretty pricey though. I would love to have a directonal program for when i'm just chilling at an outdoor concert or something.

Happy Days!

Today at work we had an all hands (all department) staff meeting. They catered chinese food; beef, chicken, chinese chicken salad etc.

My fortune read: "SOMEONE'S KINDNESS WILL SURPRISE AND DELIGHT YOU."

I'm still waiting.

....and that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Deep thoughts for a Monday.

So there I was, standing on the 4th floor of my office building; waiting for a Xerox printer to initialize. As I looked out the window of our Culver City office, across the littered streets filled with people and cars moving about. There was a wonderful sunset, that when the light hits the weaning rain clouds just right it lights up the sky orange and pink. You can almost see the beginning of the Santa Monica coastline; tis a wonderful sight.

So I think, am I really happy with myself? Do I like what I have become? Maybe i'm just lonely but sometimes everyone has a moment of Zen where they feel like they were meant to live for so much more.

So I ask? Is everyone content with their life? I deal with people everyday who I believe to lead more successful and fulfilling lives then myself.

Are we put here to do more? Or are we all just lost souls swimming in a fishbowl?

So the big night was tonight and it was everything I hoped it would be. The episode recapped just abouit every question or plot hole left over from last time.

Talib's in deep shit, Marissa throws down into the pool, Theresa is still a lying bitch OMG I can't beleive that :O and Ryan-Seth come home.

The O.C. is back! Recongnize!

Somehow i'm feeling the show has a *slightly* bigger budget then last year.

Halloween weekend.

Friday was an IT helpdesk potluck at work, there was good food and cake. Unfortunately, it didn't mean a slack day, nor an early day off from work; no worries.
My buddy Steve called me, the wifey ;) was out making holiday cards. Steve and I went out to Friday's, met up with my sister and some regulars. We met a guy from Dreamworks. Steve talked up IT Corporate Management buzzwords, this could have been B.S.
I got home and I think I finished copying all my music to a harddrive to better start organizing my stuff in itunes.

Sat: I met up with Steve for lunch, Mission Burritto. Then we went to Fry's and Best Buy; I setup his home wireless network. Sat night was David's Halloween party, my pictures are up in EVENTS, but David has all my pictures plus others in his gallery.

My Gallery of Photo's

Sun: Laundry, wash car, recovery. Not many Trick or Treaters. I watched TiVO.
