So much to do, so much to see; so what's wrong with taking the backstreets?

I had a great holiday season, over the break from Sony, I had company in town. Kristin was back for a month, she just left. Already miss the old roomie.

I am really digging my new work sony vaio, its windows 7 64 and I loaded it on a Vaio z591.
Anyways, first post, first toast of the new year. I will definitely be updating this with what i've been working on.

We went on lots of adventures,
My friend Diana had some friends over for a holiday party.
Took a lot of photos, we also went to Getty Villa in Malibu, Griffith Park, the beach.

Ailin - my friend.

No More Pencils, No More Books, No More Teacher's Dirty Looks!

Credits Required for Graduation: 120

Credits Applied

GENERAL ED 48
REQUIRED 60
Total 120

Remaining: 0

yay, now I can get on with my life. :)

Ok, besides that, being super frickin busy at work and writing my last assignment, which I ace'd.

More choice words:
I love sweaters! I can wear sweaters everyday when it's chilly outside. I have been picking up some cheap clothes from Urban Outfitters. I love this stuff. Fink sweatshirt on the sale rack for $10.

My photos are going well, i'm doing Avalon for NYE and then going to a small houseparty.. I am creating a Avalon best of the season gallery, it should go online soon..

One more thing:

I can't get enough of these fashion like American Apparel copycat ads.
Photoshoots + American Apparel models + sweaters

It was thirty seven degrees at my house last night..

so, here is a joke for a chilly friday morning...

(oh yea, we're in Southern California)

Hillary and the Pope

The Pope and Hillary Rodham Clinton are on the same stage in front of a huge crowd.

'Her Majesty' and His Holiness, however, have seen it
all before, so to make it a little more interesting,
the senator says to the Pope, "Did you know that with
just one little wave of my hand I can make every
Democrat in the crowd go wild?"

He doubts it, so she shows him. Sure enough, the wave
elicits rapture and cheering from every democrat in
the crowd. Gradually, the cheering subsides.

The Pope, not wanting to be out done by such a level
of arrogance, considers what he could do. "That was
impressive. But did you know that with just one little
wave of MY hand I can make EVERY person in the crowd
go crazy with joy? This joy will not be a momentary
display like that of your subjects, but will go deep
into their hearts, and they will forever speak of this
day and rejoice."

The senator seriously doubts this, and says so. "One
little wave of your hand and all people will rejoice
forever? Show me."

So the Pope slapped her.

If I was Ten years old again..

..and in the UK.. I would be HERE!
Carefree.

"get off my plane!"

"get off my plane"

lots more on flickr... clicky.. :)

Now is a great time to be alive..

..or is it?
Thinking about this on the way into work this morning.

Last night I was at the West Hollywood Carnival to take photos and see funny stuff. I saw some people I know, had a generally good time, but there were ALOT of fucking people.

"Now is a great time to be alive, someone shouted during a performance on the KIISFM stage"
sometime oin my life, I used to actually believe this.. as I drove into work this morning... I was recollecting sounds from the Weho carnival...KBIG104 was playing all their Disco classics and I remembered what it was like to be a kid again and how as a child you don't realize how big the world is, everything is foreign to you... it is indeed a great time to be alive, as a child growing up in the 80's.. it was ALOT of fun. The electronic beats, drum machines and 80's disco sounds.. I wonder: now that we are young adults, what did people worry about back then, was it indeed a better time to be alive?

Here are some notes I jotted down on my blackberry:
Be alive! Just think for yourself.
1960's: Racial Equality.
1970's: Fighting war. Vietnam Backlash.
1980's: Cocaine, bad air quality (remember the warnings in socal summers), more smog, factories, crappy cars, the Japanese are making better cars then us already. Movies like New Jack city, Beverly Hills Cop..
1990's: Persian Gulf, "The War on Drugs", Social Security.
2000's: We are destroying ourselves as a society, Even Halloween was canceled in San Francisco in Castro due to 9 people hurt or killed last year. We are fighting more buillshit fake problems like Global Warning, in a huge credit crisis.. (I remember when interest rates in early 00's were %4.34 .. good luck finding that now) The government is fucking stupid, MORE TRAFFIC, I'M STUCK IN FUCKING TRAFFIC!

Can't we have some kind of mass exodus and wipe out half of these morons? I was behind some retarded lady stopping every 10 seconds to look in her purse, and on her cellphone today. GET A HEADSET LIKE THE REST OF HUMAN LIFE YOU IGNORANT BITCH!

anyways.. beyond that.. things I liked in the 80's:
Eighties felt free, No government spying on us, no terrorists trying to jihad us, simple new school breakbeats, and flashdance! FUNNY comedians. (Candy, Hartman, Hicks, Eddie Murphy, Prior)
NO Carlos Mencia is not funny!

the USA fails at life right now as far as i'm concerned.

Randomness in my head while doing laundry....

So, earlier I was talking to my cat, we were on a heros commercial break. ..

No, but really, these are just some random thoughts.. I was bouncing off of him.. Do you ever feel like everyone in the world pays very little attention around them.. I see so many random idiot drivers that run red lights, cut people off..are these people fukin oblivious? Nobody pays attention to detail to anything, even comedy, which is sometimes the most mindless, random funny stuff.. I for one, am a fan of sharp wit and inside jokes

Also, idiot people at work.. That can't operate a computer without being babysat.. Its not that hard, you just gotta use some logic, which sadly normal people lack.

I'm killing time doing laundry, facebook mobile rawk.
Even though simi or sherman oaks isn't on fire, the rest of socal gets reciprocation.. Today the sky was kinda orange, wish I brought my camera to work... maye tomorrow but im prob too lazy..This friday eric prydz n halloween bash at avalon!! Oh boy I gotta get a costume... Think ill do that tomorrow..

Yessss only 3 more days till my san francisco friends arrive!!!

Listenin to sander k's new album.. THIS IS....

Sick!

.............

No, I wasn't telling my cat about this.. But I was interested when I came across this thought..
Do a lot of people have plans in life, that they are always working for? Or do you find yourself focusing on different portions of your life or career goals a little at a time, and take time for yourself?
For instance, today I took time out to post pictures and compile galleries for avalon and urb magazine..a little self promotion. But sometimes I have to put all my focus on work.. And on the weekends I'm back in photoduty, I guess my thought is; do you feel like you get lost in yourself easily, and shut off distractions or do you bounce around from one task to the other.

I've also been interested in intentions..are most people content with themselves or do they feel lost? How many people really think about the future and wonder what they'll be doing when their 40.

One more random thing.. I find people that listen to more electronic music to be well balanced..at least I seem to be sharper then I remember, I recongnize patterns and relax my mind.

In other note, I like this girl at work, but I fear we have little in common. Do most people have a lot in common with girls they are interested in? Someone that knows you better or as good as you know yourself.. I guess that's what I feel is missing in life nowadas, just someone that knows me all around.. I feel like I have little in common with most people, especially women nowdays..

Signing off.
