Regarding my last post on The Subject.

Help, I have done it again I have been here many times before Hurt myself again today And, the worst part is there's no-one else to blame

Be my friend
Hold me, wrap me up
Unfold me
I am small
I'm needy
Warm me up
And breathe me

This song is so low-key, I havn't even seen the show, It's time to netflix.
ahhh relaxing.......

Icebreaker and M.I.K.E. @ Spundae

Allan already did a pretty nice writeup on his site, which is becoming more complex and polished in 2 days then this site in 2 years. Regardless, he has convinced me to switch to Gallery2, I will be migrating shortly.

Allan and his friend met Kristin and I at he place for some pre-drinking, more Vodka and Rockstar like last night. Allan and Arash got some innout before they picked me up but I was holding out for the BBQ HOT DOG WITH BACON!

Allan's buddy, Josh David spins breaks and we got tickets to Spundae Like Allan said most people were there for the Trance, but MIKE was really good. He played Purple Haze - Adrenaline, Silence and some other really big tunes! Of course, I took pictures. Allan bought me a vial of AMF when we got there and I had a few RedbullVodka's Allan's buddy Arash drove and he was a cool guy. We left there like 3am ish a good night for basically 17 bucks spent.

This is one of the dancers with the crazy glow lights, those pics came out good. Cute.

Weekend recap: Party all weekend; pay for it Monday.

Friday I posted from the entrance of The Vanguard in Hollywood and this is the whole recap. Allank.com is also poppin with new posts and a site design. We arrive at Vanguard (formally Q-topia) sometime around 10:30, get our Groovetickets and walk in. I think Robtronix was on when we got in but the dance floor wasn't very packed, We were buzzin a bit from the predrinking at Kristins pad. We chilled on the patio, which was nice. Allan ran into an old friend who was playing at Spundae sat so we got free tickets to the show, more on that..

We walked back onto the dance floor and saw Aaron, Carmen, Kyle, Renee and Brandon. Jason Bentley was on and the floor was ready for Crystal Method. Jason played a good set. He mixed in some Breaks with some cool house tracks. Crystal Method went on around 12 and played a bunch of good stuff! It was TCM's birthday bash so we all sung happy birthday. We left close to 4am but TCM was still on, our feet were tired. Carmen gave us a ride back to Kristin's, she drives stick, yep, that's hot.

TCM played Busy Child and an Evil9 track that I really like. It was totally worth it, not to mention the hot gogo dancers hanging from the ceiling on swings. We had fun, time to do it agian Sat.

Pictures: TCM Birthday Bash @ Vanguard.

the crystal method @ vanguard hollywood

Allan and I are just about to go into the vanguard hollywood to see the crystal method with robtronix and jason bentley. This should be cool!! Aaron and some other peoples are coming and its the tcm birthday bash presented by giant!

They should do a good show. Neways.

Today is a FANTASTIC day and I don't know why! I am in a great mood. I was bumping to some classic Ibiza Carl Cox set on the way into work along with a hard Sandra Collins like @ Spundae set I got from Aaron (Thanks!)

I sleepy walked last night, I thought there was dirty dishes or something spilling water all over my printer and cd's. I moved a frog candle and my little fan that was on top of the printer. There was water everywhere, I seen it. Guess not...

There was a huge accident on the 405 about 7:50, like 5 cars. A Honda passport was fucked up all over the freeway middle wall and a Chevy truck got t-boned. Me thinks some car spunout and took out like all three of these other guys and then there was another car that ran straight into that. No emergency peoples were there yet but people were running around on their phones. I don't think anyone got hurt.

The head honcho of IT is coming in around 9ish and we all got huge breakfast! OJ, muffins, bagels, fresh fruit. mmmmmmmm

We cleaned up the lab really good for our company, it will prolly stay clean for about 2 days.

David came over last night and I let him borrow my 200GB drive to save all his music, fuck filevault, FUCK FILEVAULT IN THE ASS >:O it corrupted the drive and he almost lost everything when Tiger kernel panic'ed!

Anyways, i'm going to be going to class tonight, boooring, but at least i'm getting my learn on!

CHEERS! 1 day closer to THE CRYSTAL FUCKING METHOD at Vanguard!! It's gonna be so awesome.

Info: VANGUARD, GIANT and INSOMNIAC invite you to join the Birthday Celebrations of Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland of The Crystal Method featuring DJ sets by The Crystal Method, Jason Bentley and Robtronik (Boom Box). Vanguard features a newly installed Funktion One Sound System, massive lighting installations by SJ Lighting and a spectacular outdoor patio, complete with cabanas, fountains and even a giant Buddha.

So, heres the classic video of how great i feel.

I feel Grrrreat! Yeeeeeeeeeeea

Legally-organized Rave raided in Utah - outrageous!

Please repost this if you care about basic human rights and feel that this is wrong. This happened in Utah please read below.

Here is the video footage:

Knick of Evol intent puts the night's events into his own words::

Last night, I was booked to play an event about an hour outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. The hype behind this show was huge, they presold 700 tickets and they expected up to 3,000 people total. The promoters did an amazing job with the show.. they even made slipmats with the flyers on them to promote in local shops.

So, we got to the show around 11:15 or so and it was really cool. It was all outdoors, in a valley surrounded by huge mountains. They had an amazing light show flashing on to a mountain behind the site, the sound was booming, the crowd was about 1500 people thick and everything just seemed too good to be true really. Well...

At about 11:30 or so, I was standing behind the stage talking with someone when I noticed a helicopter pulling over one of the mountain tops. I jokingly said "Oh look, here comes big brother" to the person I was with. I wasn't far off.

The helicopter dipped lower and lower and started shining its lights on the crowd. I was kind of in awe and just sat and watched this thing circle us for a minute. As I looked back towards the crowd I saw a guy dressed in camoflauge walking by, toting an assault rifle. At this point, everyone was fully aware of what was going on . A few "troops" rushed the stage and cut the sound off and started yelling that everyone "get the fuck out of here or go to jail". This is where it got really sticky.

No one resisted. That's for sure. They had police dogs raiding the crowd of people and I saw a dog signal out a guy who obviously had some drugs on him. The soldiers attacked the guy (4 of them on 1), and kicked him a few times in the ribs and had their knees in his back and sides. As they were cuffing him, there was about 1000 kids trying to leave in the backdrop, peacefully. Next thing I know, A can of fucking TEAR GAS is launched into the crowd. People are running and screaming at this point. Girls are crying, guys are cussing... bad scene.

Now, this is all I saw with my own eyes, but I heard plenty of other accounts of the night. Now this isnt gossip I heard from some candy raver, these are instances cited straight out of the promoters mouth..

- One of the promoters friends (a very small female) was attacked by one of the police dogs. As she struggled to get away from it, the police tackled her. 3 grown men proceeded to KICK HER IN THE STOMACH.

- The police confiscated 3 video tapes in total. People were trying to document what was happening out there. The police saw one guy filming and ran after him, tackled him and his camera fell, and luckily.. his friend grabbed it and ran and got away. priceless footage. That's not all though. Out of 1,500 people, there's sure to be more footage.

- The police were rounding up the staff of the party and the main promoter went up to them with the permit for the show and said "here, I have the permit." The police then said, "no you don't" and ripped the permit out of his hand. Then, they put an assault rifle to his forehead and said "get the fuck out of here right now."

Now.. let's get the facts straight here.

This event was 100% legal. They had every permit the city told them they needed. They had a 2 MILLION DOLLAR insurance policy for the event. They had liscenced security guards at the gates confiscating any alcohol or drugs found upon entry (yes, they searched every car on the way in). Oh, I suppose I should mention that they arrested all the security guards for possession.

Oh another interesting fact.. the police did not have a warrant. The owner of the land already has a lawsuit against the city for something similar. A few months ago, she rented her land for a party and the police raided that as well. And catch this, the police forced her to LEAVE HER OWN PERSONAL PROPERTY. That's right. They didnt arrest her, but made her leave her own property!!!

Don't get it twisted, this is all going down in probably THE most conservative state in the USA. And this is scary.. a gross violation of our civil liberties. The police wanted this party shut down, so they made it happen. Even though everything about this event was legal. The promoters spent over $ 20,000 on this show and did everything they had to to make it legit, only to have it taken away from them by a group of radical neo-con's with an agenda.

This was one of the scariest things I have ever witnessed in person. I can't even begin to describe how surreal it was. Helicopters, assault rifles, tear gas, camoflauge-wearing soldiers.... why? Was that really necessary?

This needs to be big news across the USofA. At least in our music scene (edm as a whole)... this could happen to any of us at any time. When we're losing the right to gather peacefully, we're also letting the police set a standard of what we can get away with. And I think that's BULLSHIT!

The system fucked up last night... They broke up a party that was 100% legal and they physically hurt a lot of people there at the same time. The promoters already have 6 lawsuits ready to file with their lawyers and the ACLU is already involved.

I'm sure some pictures (and hopefully some video) will surface soon. I'll make sure to post them up here on 404, so you can see the Police State of America at work.

the video with sound they didnt want you to see

Hey everyone, by now most of you know that I was set to perform at the Versus 2 in Salt Lake City Utah last night August 20th 2005. I am mad, sad, and disturbed at what happened. Here is more info and thank you all for your kind words.......please spread this all around and write letters so we can be heard and fight this.

Ravers mauled by K-9s, beat up by police, CAMERAS CONFISCATED & DESTROYED, SWAT brandishing ASSAULT RIFLES, women KICK IN THE STOMACH by cops, TEAR GAS dispersed!

Tiesto In Concert. omg Pictures!

Got back to my place around 4am and fell asleep in the car.

Tiesto owned, one of the best shows of the year, pricey, but good. We got floor tickets and were running around all crazy taking pictures. We have 3GB of pictures in-between the three of us. All 1GB Sd cards in the cameras. I got some great pics and some good video. I ran out of memory 3/4 of the way through. The new camera takes video in 30fps 640x480 avi, the biggest video availible to download (once they go live) is 180MB take it easy and only download one at a time. :)

Cliff Notes:
Saw Tiesto last night @ The LA Sports Arena, it was packed and we got lots of pics and videos between 3 camera's.
These are mine.
Tiesto In Concert Pictures

Thanks to everyone that made this happen. Kyle, Bobby, Aaron, Carmen and all the Tiesto crew.
Next stop, club Vanguard with The Crystal Method - birthday bash next friday!!

UPDATE: 1:25am Monday. I just got 963MB more pics/video from Kyle. Where am I going to put this?
There are definitely some pics from the show that will go undisclosed.

Getting ready...

At Kyle's pad then we're heading over to bobby's to catch a ride to:

JAZZ HANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is going to be a GREAT weekend, YEAH BABY!!! I'm back!!!!!!!

Woooooo mothing effing hell yea! So, I get home from school yesterday to find my camera sitting on the doorstep from Dell. My Canon SD400 has arrived. I charge it up and note that the milege on my car is just about to reach 50k. I pull the camera off the charger this morning and put it in my pocket, I plan to document my 50k mile mark with a pictar. Almost into work, I note the milege and fire one off bingo! Perfect shot. So, the car is doing fantastic, the camera is here, what else could make to0day any better?

James brings Absinthe to work and gives a bottle to Jeff. Around 4:30 I ditch out of the rest of my work for the day to the office for a little taste of the green crazy. I take two shots and man this shit makes you feel crazies, not like i'm going to cut my own ear off or anything but it's hard to describe. After work I cruise over to Kristin's to pick her up and we head over to my friend Kyles house to supposedly pick up the pictures from DJ Icey and put them on my computer, turns out the camera is not in his possesion, oh wells. I just bought my ticket for the BIGGEST DJ EVENT OF THE SUMKMER!!

Tiesto in concert!

I'm fucking jazzed! I didn't think I would get a chance to go because I thought floor tickets were sold out. It's today at 8:30pm. 14,000 people in a screaming, roaring, shouting mass!

Could the night get any better? Yes! I lend Kristin $20 and we go buy food from Albertsons, go by Allan's house and she cooks us dinner! Get in my belly the food was soo good! Broccolli, Asparagus, Ceaser Salad, Chicken, Fettichini Alfredo! It was good, and we spend $17 on food! We watched South Park and Rescue me. I left.

The night gets better? YES!!! I come home and MY I.D. IS HERE!!! 10 days on the dot! Wooo hooooooo Everything that was stolen has been replaced, fuck those thieves! Don't go to ATM's at night.

Tomorrow is my neighbor Justin's wedding so I need some sleep.

Procrastinating on homework and watching back episodes of the O.C.

Have to write a relatively simple paper on operating systems in the workplace but I can't think of anywhere to start. Meanwhile, I was watching back episodes of the Second season of the O.C. Things seemed so simple back in highschool, except I was a loser. Why couldn't I have the girl and things could go just like they do on the television. Perfect cars, perfect weather, perfect relationships. Except that Marissa was with gardender dude and Summer hooked up with Zach.

Oh, to be 17 agian. What would you do different? I for one, have no idea. For now I will just sulk, save money and wait for someone wonderful to walk under my radar. It's been over 2 years and I am still waiting. Maybe i'm destined for this the rest of my life. A lonely, single bachelor. :( I think if my sister doesn't drink that in the next few days I am going to put down the half a bottle of Patron Silver that's in the fridge.

I can't buy shit cause I have no motherflipping ID goddamnit.

I wish Kristins friend from Buffalo actually flew out here. Kristin and Allan just hit their 6 month relationship mark. Wow, I can't beleive i've known her that long already, so much has happened over the past times. She is a really great girl and Allan is very happy. I'm just happy to have people to share the same interests that I don't totally piss me off and have redeeeming qualities. Other people shall remain nameless in the non redeeming quality catagory.
Those who know me, know who I am talking about.

My past 6 month relationship mark was very magical in a sense too, but maybe I was just naive to my surroundings.

Is there more to life then this? ima hoping.

In other news I setup a lame HIPLOG

It's a blogging/photoblog service for users of the sidekick 2.

Here are some pics and entries

This is ironic, Deathcab for Cutie - Soul Meets Body is playing on satelite.

I want to live where soul meets body And let the sun wrap its arms around me And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing And feel, feel what its like to be new

Cause in my head there’s a greyhound station
Where I send my thoughts to far off destinations
So they may have a chance of finding a place
where they’re far more suited than here

So true.
Sleep now. Tomorrow is another day.

I got off work early yesterday to goto the DMV for a temp drivers license. It was totally painless, I booked my appointment online and I was in and out in no time!

I came home to a voicemail that my Pppppowerbook is done! New harddrive! Unfortunately, they were unable to recover anything but I was fixed under Applecare and now I have a fresh copy of Tiger installed.

I took the machine over to Kristins and burned a bunch of Break and Drum and Bass. It's fantastic, I got some stuff off my list that I wanted. The Freestylers! During burning, we made a run to Ameoba music! My head was spinning and I couldn't decide on what I wanted. I ended up with two Fabriclive cd's Plump DJ's and Scratch Perverts.

I listened to the Plump DJ's this morning on the way into work and Squeeks and Bleeps is a friggin awesome track! I got another live Plump set from Kristin last night.

Tonight, procrastinate and see what I have to do for homework tomorrow for my new class CIS/319. ttyl.

Party all weekend !@#$%^&* Sunday: recovery.

Yes, I am finally updating my blog. ;)
Friday, I get a call from my friend Kyle and he previously thought his friends were going to have to bail on him and wanted to know if I could goto Avalon to see Sandra Collins and a beach party. I said "SURE". He bought my ticket because I had no credit card yet and then he was going to call me later that night.

I took my computer to the Apple store friday after work and had to wait at the "Genius bar" while some pimply faced highschool kids ignored my need to fix my #$%^&*injg powerbook. After an hour and a half in the "Genius queue", which it totally worthliess because someone casn sneak in front of you if they register online. I complained and I got to take care of the paperwork which pretty much consisted of, "DEAD HD, pleasefixkthxbye"

I met kyle after work at his place and we drove to the Avalon. SAndra Collins was really good, she mixed a few oldschool jams and even played some remixes of the new Coldplay. It was an estatic moment. The bouncer wouldn't let Kyle bring his camera in because he thought it was a professional model. I guess there were pro photographers there and they had to have a Camera pass. That's ok, there were event coverage crews there. Special thanks to RedDawnMedia and Clubplanet.com They took lots of photos and even caught us in a few of the shots. I used some of the pics from their gallery on my site, all the pics are watermarked, but thats ok, it's free. OMG The asian lifeguard was so hot. Goddamn.
Here is the link to the Sandra Collins Gallery. I also took a few photos with my sidekick and you can tell they suck.

Saturday, I worked all day and then went home to do a few chores and get ready for Icey. I met at Kristins. Allan and Kristin and I predrank and then walked down Labrea to Santa Monica Blvd. I DIDN'T STOP AT THE ATM THIS TIME, nor did any people stop at the bank of Chris. :) DJ Icey totally threw it down!!!! Hyper and Deepsky were very good too, as well as Kristina Sky holding down the trance room. Kyle got his camera into Spundae no problem and I also had to give a DNA test to prove it was me at the door, since I have no valid drivers license, yet. It worked and we fucking partied!
Link to the Spundae gallery. This is klnd of a placeholder for the pics with a few shots from the sidekick, as soon as kyle gives me alll his pics I will fill this shit up.

Sunday I chilled and helped Todd, my neighbor fix my other neighbor up with a wireless network across all our houses. He bought me quizno's and then I watched TV.

Great weekend.

Been listening to hard breaks all morning which I downloaded from Socal-breaks I am going to see DJ Icey with guests Robtronic and others at Spundae circus.

Breaks @#$%ing check your head! Get on the floor!

I recommend the sesion2 set by Chicago DJ Local Hero.

My newest mix is a double Disc called "The Sound and The Fury" clocking in at 2hr 15min. The first disc, The Sound, is deeper with a little house and breakbeats. The second disc, The Fury, is hard as nails breaks with a funk and tech flavoring to it. Bio: Local Hero is an eclectic breakbeat DJ hailing from Chicago. Although his sound can vary from house to new skool breaks to techno to Drum and Bass, his heart lies in breaks. Local Hero’s performances are composed of an artistic layering of funk, be it old school or new school, tech or disco, to create a poetry of sound and texture interspersed with quick cuts and deviceful mixing. He builds up and tears down the energy level urging the listener on to a multi dimensional journey. Local Hero’s improvisational mixing is tempered by a scientific approach to structuring the sound and stoked by his intuitive connection with the audience. He has played in many of the major clubs around Chicago including Smart Bar, Sound Bar, Zentra, and Sonotheque and has played with well known DJs and Producers such as The Crystal Method, DJ Mea, Huda Hudia, and K-Swing. You can learn more about him on his website http://www.yourlocalhero.net or on myspace @ http://www.myspace.com/localhero feel free to contact him at either of those sites as well.
