WOW, just WOW!

So, my mom and I picked up the units today. It takes some time to get used to the sound of your voice agian. Most of the "vent" for the mold is closed shut to it sounds a bit like you are reverberating, once your brain gets accustomed to it, after a week or my audiologist said: 2 million words. I have already got the hang of it.

A few notes: Holy crap! The highs!!! I never knew my laptop harddrive makes noise, or there was actually birds outside my window.

So, according to my hearing test, average in both ears is about 50db.

Here is the spec sheet in PDF for my units, I got the Behind the ear model because I could use my current molds.

Spec Sheet>

I had the units programmed with 3 listening programs.

1. general listening program: good highs, not too harsh in noisy places.
2. Reduced listening program: cuts the amplification down at least 1/4 way, maybe half. for noisy places.
3. a music enhanced program: WOW, this is fantastic. it boosts treble, high and low frequencies listing to voice and piano with this mode on is just fantastically fantastic. If I put this on in a noisy room like the general program my ears hurt because of all the treble. perfect, now I can really get into hifi audio, I can already tell my car speakers are crappy a muddy on this mode.

All and all. WOW, great stuff. <3 <3

That's so cool! Like suddenly seeing color.

You'll now appreciate my cube. ;-)

Yey! Congrats on the new hearing aids. You have needed them for a while, especially after one took a ride in the dryer. Glad you like your new ones and they seem to be working out really great for you.
